Warranty period

The year in which the Tomos product is manufactured determines the warranty period. This period starts from the date of purchase by the consumer. The warranty is granted to the first owner only and is not transferable.

 

For models produced in 2019, the following applies:

 

  • 5 years on aluminium frames and forks, and on welded steel frames and forks
  • 2 years on other frame models, suspension forks and components, excluding wear parts, paint and decorative strips on frames and forks, batteries, motors, controllers, displays, and wiring

General warranty terms

The seller invokes all exclusions and limitations on the warranty permitted by law, which may differ from the legal provisions in the country of sale. By purchasing a Tomos product, the buyer acknowledges and accepts these terms.

 

In addition to statutory rights, Tomos offers a warranty against manufacturing defects such as breakage, deformation, or malfunctioning of components.

 

The warranty covers replacement or repair (at the discretion of the repairer) of defective components, including labour costs. Depending on product development, replacement or repair may be carried out with identical or equivalent parts. Repairs carried out under warranty do not extend the warranty period, unless otherwise provided by law in the country of sale.

 

Important: Warranty repairs or replacements must be carried out by the dealer where the product was purchased. This may mean you need to return to a dealer outside of your place of residence.

Conditions of application

Warranty terms are valid throughout our sales network, regardless of the country or municipality of purchase, provided that:

 

  • the Tomos product is presented in complete condition
  • repairs are carried out within our authorised network
  • the product has not been modified
  • original parts have not been replaced with parts not approved by the manufacturer
  • the damage is not caused by negligence, misuse, (temporary) overloading, rider inexperience, or transport damage
  • the product has been properly maintained (according to the instructions in the user manual provided)

Exclusions

The warranty does not apply to:

 

  1. products used professionally or commercially
  2. maintenance-related work (such as lubrication or adjustments) or wear from normal use (e.g., tyres, lamps, seals, hydraulic oil, etc.)
  3. corrosion
  4. discolouration of paint
  5. vehicles intended for rental purposes
